Machining Operation 1 of three for a pump housing

This is a replacement housing for the battlers connection pump for my K class light cruiser.

The main reason for making it... Because I can. There are two more operations to go. One to mill slots in the base and one to mill the efflux hole.

this is the gearbox, installed (no dogbones shown as they can be a bit of a pain to get in place but yes they do fit.

The deck is lasercut ply coated in epoxy.

And this is how one maintains the thing. the bolt is a captive stainless 4-40 for size comparison.
