Karlsruhe sunk

The karlsruhe with her new lithium propulsion setup survived heavy seas but with a temporary change in command, the inexperience of the new captain in heavy seas was evident. After freeing herself from a local trawler who commented on the rather large catch, she proceeded to take high speed turns at excessive speed in the sea conditions. The water was everywhere durring this cruise but due to the rapid accelerations, accumulated in the stern far aft of the bilge pump, leading to an ever lower stern. This went unnoticed. Soon enough the danger was manifest and the new captain put up a valiant struggle to save the ship, she sank not a boatlength from the dock.
